opinion for eg sedan vtec-e

hi guys i found a 1992 civic eg sedan with a 1.5 vtec-e engine is it a good one to buy thanks

cheapo on the fuel...
engine mod wise... nah..

its not a bad car but its not a super performance car if that's what you mean.

I've driven one in manual and it was a revvy little engine that used virtually no petrol. Fun to drive, but don't expect it to rip pass many cars

yeh they go alrite...good for drivning around sound good with a nice little pod filter as well easy to do exterior mods too as well

pod filter wont do anything for the vtec-e man...
dont bother with the engine..
i would recommend it for a daily, just do your suspension mods and make it look nice, then itl be a fun car to drive while saving fuel

3 stage vtec
vtec-e (12v useage)
then normal 16v operation
then full on vtec...
one hell of a motor =)

hahahaha, its awesome for daily man... i got one as my daily and i use less fuel than my gfs brand new corolla with 'vvti' pssh.. plus i can outrun that toyota box anyday of the week

^^really???? well i know its fuel economy is great but like its so slow i cant believe that it will beat anything. its got like zero overtaking power like i have to downshift on the freeway sometimes? it can do like 100 in 2nd gear but like it takes forever. i wouldnt be suprised if it was like 12 secs or something.

well u gotta keep the revs up so it has some go.. when it hits 3000 or so ( i dont really know the crossover), youll get the vtec cross to standard 16v..

my dailys an ek1 sedan... i got the cvt tranny cos i cbb with manual during my long traffic delays...
so if i wanna overtake.. i jus rev her up 2 say 4000rpm.. get enough power and voila..
still cant beat the y8 for power or the jdm d15b but its decent as a daily..
