hi, im trying to undo the screw behind the handle of an EK1,
its too tight and attempting to undo seems to wreck the screw head.

longer larger phillips head screwdriver , and press into teh end of it as you turn. You should get it.

Otherwise i have a impact hammer that will take that out in a sec

thanks for the quick response ben.
i attempted it with a large phillips head and tried pushing in, but its really tight. the other one came out pretty easy.
its the only screw left to take the door trim off lol.

larger philips head is pretty much the only way to do it short of impact screw driver(bit overkill?!)
you just have to make sure that the larger head on the philips head actually fits into the screw groove and not just sitting on the edges

yup might be rusted from behind , or loctite there to hold it.
Try to be careful not to slip with a screwdriver as it will round the edges.

Worst case scenario , you can easily drill it out.

Close the door, use one hand push hard on the top of screwdriver and the other hand turn it anti-clockwise

IMPACT SCREWDRIVER.

Buy one - you absolutely will not regret it.

i got mine off with a impact screw driver.
had to use quite a bit of force though, and you gotta get someone to hold the boot firm, so you can hit it harder
