no a/f's were printed on the dyno sheet...
He had a big red number display unit that showed them hang around the 12:1 mark never went higher or lower than that...
He was very scared to rev the car also hence he didnt take it past 6600...
I saw a few charts for Dseries powered civics on the wall so i imagine thats were he is used to revving civics...
Just wanna know if its worth tuning my PFC as is now, or wait a while longer till i have a few more things done to it...
( mods are Skunk2 inlet mani, Xforce 4-1, CAI (k&n pod), 2.5inch exhaust, untuned power FC)..
Experiences and opinions are welcome..

not sure thats were it all starts go sour...
I think the fuel reg is playing up aswell....
Might be running to rich, thats my theory...
140whp is pretty average for a B18c but isnt it..
car runs low 14s (in 35c heat)
should run 13s in temps of low 20s...
Just that graph looks like crap!!!

But AFR 12:1 isn't too rich though.... Did he check if his sparks were misfiring?

nah it was just a quik A/F and power run...
I got NGK platnums in it, ive had a look at them, they look normal black round the outer ring, electro tip and earth part were the spark jumps across looked whiteish and little white dot were it hits when it jumps..
when i give it to it on street it feels like it makes power to 7500 7700 then it drops off..
not sure why this bloke didnt wanna rev it that high...

another thing then, what base tune are you running on the pfc... u switching cams at 4700rpm?
wait till the ecu guys chime in... coz those 2 dips don't look like ignition problems.. they look more jagged and unsmooth on misfire dips.... also if you had say 3 base runs misfire dips wouldn't be in the exact same spots but rather in the vicinity...

I agree with what dsp26 is getting at. Did you have more than one run? If you did I would hazard a guess that the shape of the curve was the same on each run. If it was, then I'd say it is a tuning issue. And I would also guess that the mixtures at those 2 humps are different to the rest of the curve. (I know you said it stayed around 12:1).
We saw a similar thing on our Civic. At the VTEC point the engine demanded a lot more fuel and required a fair bit of tuning in this area to get it right. And it looks like that from the graph. Hence why I said about the AFR's above.

140hp on a Dynojet is pretty low...
I'd say get the thing tuned.
The problems after 5200rpm are likley fuel & timing related.
Why did you fit the Power FC & not get it tuned?
