The ITR has a shorter throw and feels more precise. The traders usually have them for sale, ie; JDMyard, JDM Concept

dc2r shorter > dc2 longer
dc2r more precise and smother shifting.

IMO i reckon the vtir and the type r is the same. Physically they look the same. CAnt spot any differences.
