Bonnet pins are designed for race cars as an extra securing device for the bonnet and easy to open in the case of a fire (don't need to pull the lever inside if hooked up correctly)

You dont need a CF bonnet for pins, two of my cars have bonnet pins (1968 MKII GT Cortina and a 1974 XB GS Coupe) and they have old, heavy as a rock steel bonnets!

And yes, they do look cool - on the right type of car

Ahaha yeh cop magnetic.. to check for if the hood is carbon fibre? or are the pins actually defectable?

pretty sure they are illegal cause if your in an accident and someone falls on them :S

i've heard pins are illegal, asking to get pulled over... well pins do make cars look good but not around coppers and yeahh it all depends on the copper

Bonnet pins are illegal if you need the likes there are other latches similar to bonnet pins but they are flush on the bonnet; have a google...
