-If i want to put the 17 inch sports rims on my vti what profile you think i should get or should i get the same 215/r45 as the sports?
-would i have any issue with the insurance company if i change it to sports rims?
-anyone knows the approx price for 17inch tyres?

thank you

go with the 215/45. i have 17s and thats what profile i run. the ride quality is pretty good. u CAN go 225/45 but thats technically a defect on the vti (too wide) altho most cops probably wont check it.

pricing - well how much do you want to spend. OEM quality bridgestones are around 300 bucks a tyre or u can pay like 100 for cheapo brands... up to you.

dont know on insurance. should be fine

it's legal to have a 'plus-two' fitment of rims on your car. that means if your car came withthe 15" steelies - u can LEGALLY fit 17" rims (no bigger).

as for the tyres - you want to keep the outter 'rolling-diameter' of the tyre the same.. I'd say the Sport civic's tyre profile and rim would be the same as for the VTi and VTiL civic's in relation to the outter 'rolling-diameter'.

The Sport's 17" rims come with 215/45/R17 (91V) sized Tyres that are quite expensive to replace but they ARE very nice street tyres !!

to add to that, you can only go one inch wider than stock (215)

- interesting topic. just the thread i was looking for. the civic sport oem alloys looks nice. IMO they look very similar to the fn2r alloys and ep3.

- i got a question. can we fit civic sports 17" alloys on our VTI stock tyres with any problems?

They can suck pen1s. i won't even get it if it was $795 for the set.
