Installing gauges, need help ASAP!

hi guys i have 3 gauges in a A-Pillar: oil temp, water temp and volts

i need help installing them, the wires on each of the 3 gauges are identical so i have connected the common wires together. now there are 3 sets of wires..one purple (ground?), one orange (ignition) and a red (12v + terminal?) i am not sure if this is correct, can someone confirm? damm gauges didnt come with instructions..

is that it ground, 12v positive, and ignition? ONLY 3 wires? am i missing something?

there should be 3 wires at the back of your each gauges, 12V ( should be in red, may be orange ? ), ground ( black ) and sensor ( depends on what gauges u have, i am guessing yours will be purple ? ) not sure about the volt tho,

yeah i have an orange#1/red (12v pos), a purple (connected to black (neg) wires Ground???) and another orange#2 (sensor???)

can someone confirm which wire is which..

Connections:

Orange#1/red (12+) to ignition or accessories.
Purple to neg battery terminal
Orange#2 ??????

btw dont oil temp, water temp, volt have sensor wires? orange#2? where does this wire connect to?

confused too lol, post up some pics if u can mate, otherwise u might ruin your gauges

negative = ground btw

ok..i have figured out the positive wire (orange#1) and the ground wire (purple)..the last wire im not sure of...is it sensor or lights???? they are oil temp, water temp and volts gauges...do they have sensors?

also wheres the best place to soilder the wires to?

the last will be the signal from the sensor if you've found +ve & -ve.

You usually attach them to the ignition power

Purple - Negative/Ground
Orange2 - Ignition

cham best thing to do is jump on the net and try n find a wire diagram best thing i reckon

one wire to ground/neg
one wire to 12v pos

last wire to ignition?

One wire to 12V ignition(so they come on when u turn key on)
One wire to ground
One wire to sender/sensor mounted on your engine
One wire to illumination(lights) if u have 4 wire setup.

wheres the exact location of the sensor for EGs?
