yup sure can/// but why not just wack in a k&n replacement panel filter? unless you want noise ehehehe
my car had almost same set up as yours but my battery was just to the right eg---- | ///not _
so all up to you i guess..
the whole point of replacing that stock air filter is to get more sound
so i guess save up for cash
then pod it is
then zorst
then rims
then a wing
then other rice

rice baby ahahhaah den get ur car dynoed after your rice mods see how much xtra kw you get outter it ahahah especially stickers and the cool little figurines ahaha
lol the only thing i included there which i would perceive as rice would be the gt wing, which i only chucked in for fun.
i for one am known as more of a go rather than show kinda person but if u reckon a smart looking set of 17s and a nice 2.5-3' zorst is rice, then ur car or the cars u like must look absolute stock, in which case ur looking for the sleeper effect.

Seed, i can agree on the pod filter for sound idea. But can i suggest you change the order of your mods? How about this:
Pod
Lowering
Exhaust
Rims
Whatever else you want to do..
But forget the wing. You could get 300kw at the wheels, but as soon as you put a GT wing on an accord it will be labelled rice. Why? Because its a Front Wheel Drive. The whole point of a wing is to provide more traction to the rear wheels, which would in turn give less traction to the front...
oh, and a couple more things; lowering always comes before exhaust. Otherwise you will look ridiculous... (I should know, i did rims before lowering, and for those 4 weeks i felt like an idiot)
BTW, i'm not against visual mods. I'm not doing a single performance mod to my Accord; i prefer the 'dumped on fat wheels' look.
Dominik thanx for the constructive criticism man
yeh i was kidding about the wing definitely
Also i did not have any specific order for my parts list coz i don't actually have a wallet full of cash, so i generally go cheapest first you know.
Also my car is already pretty low. if it gets anymore lowered i might need springs

No worrys mate :)
As for the order, its really up to you; i just dont like seeing stock cars with loud exhausts :) Whereas stock cars that are lowered still look cool...
The last part of your post is a bit confusing - is your car already lowered? If not then i agree the Accord seems low when stock; but the fender gap is monstrous! Just bite the bullet and learn to drive over speed humps/driveways/etc very slowly and at an angle ;)
Oh, and yes, you will need lowering springs if you intend to lower it. Unless you are getting airbags ($3k+)... there isnt any other way...

oh no, i have modified my car in the wrong order lol
-zorst
-ICE
-CAI
-H22a swap
-17"s
still havnt lowered it :S
might look ghey but i goes fast hehehehe
i just did what i could afford/needed at the time. With a goal of what i want in the end.
im definitely getting a pod first
then a zorst. u guys reckon 2.5" is too big for a 90 accord?

Zorst and filter setup are always the first basic mods you must do to a car...
Simple saying, let the car breathe better and fart better :D

Its all good to be burping and farting down the street, but what about making it turn better? I think lowering the car brings more enjoyment than gaining 2kw from a cat-back exhaust! :p
* and just for the record, i did the lowering just for looks - BUT when i used to enjoy driving quick, lowering brought me the most happiness. Having a loud exhaust embarrassed me because i'd be making all this noise just to keep up with the traffic!
man no way will i be getting a cat back if and when i do get a zorst
i will just get change the muffler n tip etc.
speaking of zorts wat size u guys know is best for my 90 exi?

tell me bout it, i wish i could silence my car without affecting performance, what do you think i should do? its really loud normally but anything over 6 grand it sounds like a giant wasp.
Anybody here know what set up i should be using, i still want a tip etc on the back but i dont care if its a welded tip on a generic looking muffler. I just want it quiet.

H22A, i like your thinking... That is all i plan to do (Nice looking tips on the stock muffler)
Has anyone actually got documented proof that the stock exhaust is restrictive? What parts are restrictive etc? When i owned my Soarer, some of the other owners figured out that the main restriction was the centre pipe. The difference between an aftermarket (decent brand) muffler and the stock item was only 0.5kw!!!! (There is a guy on the forums with more than double the stock output, and his car doesnt sound any louder than a stock Soarer...)
Maybe a Soarer rear muffler with some aftermarket tips on your system would work??
Seed, not sure how much a zorst will cost to buy/install, but you can probably get your car lowered for around $350 - and you will thank yourself as soon as you get to the first corner! But in the end its up to you...
to the doodz with 4th gens
would u guys know how much cold air induction cost (full kit)?
and wats the best cheapest brand
check www.simota.com.au i heard it makes cheap CAI, should have it for the 4 gen accords too. Or else go ebay, i found some for 20-30 dollar US for a CAI, but then shipping might end up costing like a simota costs in australia.
Hi cb7, we need to talk more man (well i need to talk to u)
Tell me about ur setup dood seeing as we have similar models, if not the same

I'm quite the rookie here,
but just wondering, apart from more noise coming from the engine, does a pod air filter give your car better performance, or is the stock one good enough? If it improves performance, is it worth getting the good brands such as Apexi ? Does Apexi even make air intakes for 95 model Accords?
thanks guys
Alan
A pod filter might not give u a drastic increase in power but some say they can feel a tiny boost when they install a pod.
I actually installed the pod in my car recently im still using the stock piping and it definitely sounds better at higher rpms and it could be that im just standing up for my car :D but i reckon there was a slight increase in power even when i dont fully floor it.
To answer ur questions, i would say that if u had the cash a pod filter is definitely a good investment because it will only do better for the engine by taking in more air. A'PEXi do make pods but i dont think it would really matter if u just had some generic brand. i reckon it just depends on how much cash u got. And u can chuck a pod in basically any car as long as the current air box is locatable. btw my pod filter was only $20
Ok so, pod filter down, zorst, rims left to go.

dont underestimate the value of a good "functional" air filter.
Its there for a reason!! A $20 one might flow real well, but what other badies does it let into the engine?? Just a though, and hey i could be way off the mark.

Ok, how about thinking about this:
If most of you know how engines work, you would know that there is a throttle butterfly which restricts the incoming airflow, reducing the restriction as you press the accelerator; until the butterfly plate is parallel to the airflow (max throttle).
The key point to remember here is that it's job is to restrict the airflow. Thats how engines work. So when everyone talks about pods giving increased airflow etc, it means diddley-squat, until you are at WOT (wide open throttle - foot to the foor!). Now i am not sure about you guys, but i dont spend much time at WOT; i spend most of it at 1/2 throttle or at most 3/4 throttle...
So, for the most part, you will not notice any difference with a different filter (apart from the sound)... Unless you are racing someone (thats where the extra 2Kw get noticed!). This is the same reason that dyno graphs dont give the full story on how much power a car has...
