i wanted to buy on of these, i live in sydney but have no idea where to buy 1 from. My car model is a 98 civic hatchback 1.35 ltr. any 1 have any ideas on where i could find a 1.6 ltr dohc ? affordable prices and good condition!!!!!

Where is he going ot get a 1.6 DOHC non vetc from a newer car over 1998?

ok i know but isnt there some sort of legality that stops someone from putting an older engine in their car?
or am i just bein stupid and dumb?
sorry but i was under the impression that that was what had to be done

yeah, for the conversion to be legal and all approved, the engine needs be be newer than the car. So you cannot put a older engine in if you want it to be legal.

dude speak to charlie from good performance he will install a B16A DOHC engine for u no problems at all and with engineer certificate phone 02 96816788 or 0412887788 he is located at 68 railway parade yenora

Yeah i forgot about teh rule there, but there isnt a d16a from newer cars in Aust.

So he cant get anything like that.

yeh i think thats where i was going...but i wasnt sure if there were newer 1.6 DOHC honda post 98!!! so i didnt wanna say too much
K20 could work...more $$$ though
