Hi people, recently fitted a B20B into my teg. Turns out I have the B20B with the engine code 'B20B8'.
I know it's an AUDM spec but it's also a 99' model engine. The B20B engine was released in low compression and high compression versions.

96-98 - 8.8 compression ~ 126HP

and

99-00 - 9.6 compression ~ 146HP

My one being a B20B8, THOUGH being a 99 model, does anyone know what specs my engine has out of the two? being it a AUDM spec confuses me a little as i'm not too sure if Australia released any high comp versions or so on so. If it helps, my motors stamped with 'P75' which from what I know represents a high compression head of some sort.

The help is appreciated boys, thanks.

Don't go by what head its got. Most B20's came with the P75 head. Its the same head as the B18b.

Differences explained here... I think the main one to look for is if you have a knock sensor...

What gearbox are you running with it? Your b18a box?

Yep, the YS1 box. Yes yes, i've been told a B16 gearbox will be much better but suffers top speed and so on. It doesnt bother me at all as it's a straight bolt in replacement motor.
Thanks for the link champ.
