thanks for the input guys..yeah i test fitted it and it does fit...
btw how the heck do you remove the stock airbox....its a real bitch to remove, nuts are so tight..do you hold the bolt under the guards while unscrewing the nut from above? i also snapped a screw driver trying to take off cover...

it will fit, but on the intake pipe of J's racing and top fuel is designed for B-series
hence, there is only one connector for your breather hose and not for your air temp sensor. so you gotta DIY that plug for your air temp sensor

take out the driver side wheel and inner guard and you will see more bolts and nuts underneath.. better off using a 10mm socket on the air filter box rather then a screw driver coz you can get more leverage.

no, you will need to make another hole for the air temp sensor to attach to the intake pipe. next to the breather hose.

My TOP FUEL intake only has one hose (breather) as does the stock intake..however the stock intake has the air temp sensor joined to the breather hose...can't i simply connect the TOP FUEL breather hose into the existing stock hose so that it joins with the air temp sensor?

Reduces induction noise mainly, but also provides slightly better response due the the large volume of air already inside it when you step on it. poorly designed Cai's may give you the pro's of cold air but will actualy be more restrictive than the stock airbox.

yup, everything he said, stores air there so when u need it u got it straight away, i took mine out and drove around (ek4) for a bit and my god first gear no noise then second gear not flooring it or anything u hear the masssive hollow intake noise and ... lagggg when u step on it ...lOlz

lol that would explain y there is such a loud hissing sound from my engine bay even during idle..but sounds sweet as when high revs...mayb i will put the res back in later see how my CAI setup goes..

what I did with mine is, I use the breather hose supplied which connects from the intake pipe to the head.
not sure what u meant by joined together.
show us a picture of it

Is it alright to connect the TOPFUEL breather hose to the existing stock one?...ie. like an extension cord, im pretty sure it is fine and will do the job, should get the air temp readings from the existing sensor too.. right?
