you need to use a wrench with sockets
you should invest in one of these if you dont already have one.

use a ring spanner, must be correct size. Or for better leverage use a breaker bar with correct socket.
Make sure you are going anti-clockwise. Use body weight if your arm isn't enough.
It will eventually come off.

its hard using ur bodyweight wen its under the car

try this.

use the spanner, then but a jack under it. use the jack to turn your spanner :)

Or use a breaker bar.

But ring spanner or socket is the way to go. Socket is better because you can use a breaker bar with it.

I find it easier using a ring spanner for this job then a socket
I think its a size 17

a socket and a breaker bar is the special tool. The mechanics usually put them on too tight

first make sure it's actually the sump bolt you are trying to loosen, they aren't usually that tight.
If you still have trouble (all honda sumps are 17mm) put the tool on the sump and use your fist or a rubber mallet and gently give it a bit of a give. Before you do that counter clock wise is to loosen, don't go tightening it or you may strip the thread.

the size is 17mm..., i have a wrench but all size are below 17, that is why i use a spannar... and end up not working.... if i have the correct sockets, that should be loosen quite easy? i just scare if i go buy the correct sockets size and i still unable to turn that plug .. LOL

What do you mean by spanner? Are you using a proper 17mm sized one or an adjustable one? Don't use the adjustable ones.

Get a Superworks Gold 17mm socket (it's reasonable shit, $4-6) from supercheap auto and a reasonanble ratchet or breaker bar (1/2" drive made in china one will be ok for light stuff).

Spray a little WD40 on the side of the plug to work open any corrosion, then give it a go with the 17mm socket and breaker bar.

Just get it from the dealer. I know Bursons will have the washers, they might have the plug too.

If the washer is crushed, change it. Cheap parts anyway.
The sump plug needs to be changed if the threads are damaged. If they are damaged, the threads on the sump side might be damaged too. :(

The washer from the dealer is like $1.40 i think.
The sump wont be more than $15 from the dealer. i got one from Repco it was an M4 i think cost me $7.95
Use a socket and Breaker bar to loosen it then use a spanner to finish it off.

The Repco one is shorter and had to get a thinner washer as it didnt screw tight enough with the Honda Washer, was gonna get an OEM but got an ITR so i didnt bother changing it in the DA9.

supercheap sell the washers for $3 for 5 of them, its the red coloured material stuff, which i found is better than the copper or alloy ones as they don't leak as often

i must go supercheap again... this time i need to buy a bigger ratchet.... and of course a 17mm socket...
