View Full Version : Alarm not working
here's the symptons. I unlock the car the lights blink 3 times (should be twice) When I get in the car and I close the door the alarm goes off? Also my window lifters are off?
Any common things i should look at or anyone know any cheap reputable companies I can take it too get it checked

Shooting in the dark hare mate, but it could be something as simple as a loose wire touching something it shouldn't be. Don't know how good you are with electronics, but i'd rip apart the plastics and have a look where the alarm is, maybe you can find the serial number and track down a manual
^^ Thanks man.. Might have another shot at the wiring
It happened when it was pouring rain. The siren isnt too far from the driver side firewall???(not sure if its thats wat its called but the end of the engine bay near the windscreen. is it possible water leaked in?

maybe mate, anything is possible. I hid all my wiring inside under the steering wheel somehwere and just have the siren in the engine bay. But those things are pretty well sealed up so i don't know if water got in and you might have hard time getting in there as well without cracking the thing with a hammer.

my alarm and my central locking system arent workign together. as in, i unlock the car with the remote and the locks require the key instead of unlocking with the alarm.
is it a wiring issue? cause it just suddenly happened with nothing done to the car

RAWR , dont tell us what alarm you have online...
but as a general guide IF your alarm is doing this it means its been tripped (IE someone has tried to break in) Get it checked out asap.
Pm "euro69" as he knows a good installer near Cabra/fairfield
