I have a 97ek that im fitting a front upper sway bar. It looks to be extreamly adjustable in how tight you can make it. How can i set it so its not to tight and not to lose? are there tention settings that i need or should this be done by pro's? Im a bit of a diy person and can manage to do most things myself but if tools are needed it might be time for a trip to the local mod shop.

Very vague.......is this a upper strut brace or a sway bar?

There is a distinct difference

strut bar...ok - does it connect to the actual suspension strut towers ( two bolts either side , which are tightened to the actual suspension ) OR does it have two inline holes on either side - making it a " chassis brace" type.

BTW - any good bar isnt "adjustable" - the adjustablility is there purley for installation and removal - once the bar is on , you tighten up the side bolts and make stiif etc.

Def to the towers. i was wondering how tight to do it up during the instalation:) should i just do it as tight as i can go without damaging/breaking it?

Just make sure the car is on a flat surface when you do it
