yeah its really wierd its on both of them the plastic just appears to look pealed off. I aint to keen to buy new head lights to have the same thing happen.

HIDS are supose to run cooler than normal headlights so i can't see why yours are peeling. I use to run 100w halegon globes and didn't have this issue either.

Mybe you been parking in the sun too much?

its your UV layer peeling.
i mate had 10000s on his and they peeled like a mofo lol

Theres a way to fix that up though...i think either some really fine grade wet&dry sand paper or some have suggested mothers plastic polish. Do a search should be on this forum somewhere.

I think this is the UV layer on your headlights, meguiars make good stuff, and there is a tutorial for headlight cleaning on supraforums.com.au and jdmstyletuning.com too

35w H.I.D. s are hoter than 55w halogen, but won't damage your headlight housing unless you install the bulb uncorrect like touching the sides of the headlights.

HiD's run heaps hotter than standard halogens - the whiter the light the hotter it burns

i had the same issue with my previous civics - but i used the 5k halogens so i guess it's a wear and tear thing... maybe the HiD's makes the uv coating on the headlights wear out quicker...?
