yeah it's pretty easy to replace the stock bulb with HIDs, the bulbs came with the aftermarket projectors are usually crap just replace em to either HID or halogen to make your projector work again...

alot of peole run HID's with their angel eyes, but as a i said before it depends on the type of eyes you have, theres a new zealand seller on ebay, and really with the xchange rate as it is, you could buy em from america with a much wider range and it'll still come out cheap, u just gotta remember to have em angeled correctly then.

so basically people buy the stuff from US and try aim the cutoff so that the cutoff is in a straight line so that it doesnt glare into oncoming traffic??

yeh coz obviousl americas left hand drive is aimed at shining the opposite way to our right hand drive. so once brought here instead of lighting up in front of them it lights up the oncoming traffic.

yeh but theres a much wider and cheaper range in the u.s. u can get american angel eyes at this xhange rate for around $200 aussie dollars, the closest thing on ebay (australia) is $300 and in the shops i've never seen it for cheaper than 300 either, and the shop ones are usually all the same, (chrome background with white halos)

Hi All,

Are these all illegal?

My EG is worse for wear, and at night i have basically zero visibility. It's stock and the left headlight is aiming towards the far left and the right one aims at the floor.

So I was hoping for a decent HID setup. Nothing ricey.

Which kit do I want? I don't care too much about Angel eyes but if it comes in the kit (like the US Ebay Link) then why not.

Decent visibility and no police attention is big ones, then looks!

your better off just paying 170 bux and buying watever hid's u want from here, no point replacing your headlights if they dont need it, and another thing that us ebay link, is only for the angel eyes, you'll have to buy hid's or globes for that seperatly, so 200 for housing, then another 200 for lights plus like 50 for fitting, as oppose to maybe 200 all up for hid's... but yes they are both defective...

i've been using the angel eyes projectors for close to 3 years now and also combined with HID for the past 1.5 years, not a single problem with cops, the worst they did was looking at the lights, nothing else......

i was gonna get the angel eyes from cyber century next time i come in i'll try bargain for 260 - 280 lol. they've got the plastic front. black back. wonder if the HID would burn out the plastic. Only thing i'm scared of if i plan to do a angel hid setup. Any ideas?

So just any HID kit, and stay lower (4000?) so it doesn't attract cops. Then align it properly and I should be good?

Will it melt the stock housing?

wen i wanted to buy some i called the store up first to ask them and he said yes they are compatible with HID's and i messaged the people who had also purchased the same product from them and a majority of them where using HID's.... so maybe u should check with them again...

Just for the Melb. ppl here, Cyber Century actually has one piece projectors for $270. Better buy these instead of the hassle of converting the US ones. Better to pay a bit extra so you can return them if something's f'd instead of paying shipping to the US again (costs an arm and a leg).

can someone give me an advise whether i should get the Angel headlights or not. I'm planning to buy from this nz seller on ebay for $400. is it worth it? or where else i can get it cheaper. I'm from Brisbane by the way. Would you get angellights as well as HID installed? and would HID ruin the headlight covers to fade like my current ones? anyone have answers?

bro dont confuse evry1, wen people say angeleyes i THINK they are refferring to the whole setup, the rings or HALOS as they are more commonly reffered 2 as obviously could not run HID's because thats like running HID's through your parker lights, u cant do it lol. of course the bulbs blablabla yeh most angeleye setups can run HID's just have a look wen u buy em off ebay or watever if it says wether they can or they cant!

s2_eternity_s2:
dude, just check ebay for EK eyes and c if they are HID compatible, it duznt mean coz u dont have n EG u cant run both hid and angeleyes. just check to see wether EK angeleyes are compatible

lol. that would be funny... HID Halos!

you can have HID in any headlight you want. you just need the ballast to go with it, they usually sell them as a kit these days for about $100AUD you can get a kit.

can someone tell me when they hook up HID's to their Halos!? I want to see that!!! LOL!
