Hi guys,

Just wondering if you can participate in this survey.

I am just curious how quick euro is on a flat road from 0-100Km/h for the members in this forum, especially if you have any mod on.

Can you give your specs like

Model Year: 20xx
Type: lux/Std
Transmission: Auto/Man
Time 0-100: …
(Or you can be more specific for example:
1'st gear = 60km's = 3’
2'nd = 100km's = 7’)
MOD:….
Comment: (for us to droll) if you do have any mod and find it really significant affecting the boost time + any pros and cons of having one.
Any pics is greatly appreciated

Thanks!!

Well near the place I live there's a long flat road where at night it's pretty much abandoned....
I tried the semi-manual and auto, but the best result was with auto somehow. Not proficient with changing gears semi-manually I guess.

Is the discrepancy between auto and manual really that big? Jeez the torque converter must suck up a lot of juice!

Yeah there is some loss through the auto tranny, but its mainly due to the Auto being a 5 speed, compared to the 6 speed manual. Due to the shorter gears in the 6MT, the car can accelerate quicker.

Ah yes, I guess for an engine that doesn't get on song til relatively high up that does make sense.

Probably not too many E55 AMG owners complaining about lack of acceleration from their 5 speed autos though. :D

I hope the speed limit on that road is 100+ ;) don't want to be posting about illegal stuff now. Haven't actually timed how long it takes from 0-100, but i do experience vtec legally a bit =) motorway on ramp ftw!

E63 is 7 speed, E55 was the old 5 speed. :)

True! I happen to know two owners of E55 AMG's and they both have the same surname as me. The E55's are certainly one reason why you don't always have to have a manual car if you want thump-you-in-the-back-until-your-heart-pops-out-of-your-mouth acceleration!

cash tolls, late night to early morning.

1) set the drift box 2) flick the basket some coins 3) build the revs 4) wait for the green light or gate, drop the clutch and vtec it like there's no tomorrow :)

Standard Euro 6MT with no mods at all. Fastest that I've tried on 0-100km/h is 7.6 secs with little fuel.
