Question 1: Eg boot

Ok i was thinking of the eg boot. How would u install the carbon fibre trunk lid thingo, and how much, and where to do it/buy it.

Or maybe just a black boot, how much do buy one from wreckers, or 2 install a boot, and.. wells thats about it :)

What does the b20 come from?
How would i get the most out of eg civic with minimal costs ( search doesn't let me type under 3 letters, so i quit then :) )
Also, i heard something about vtec bolt on? does this mean that.. if i have a non vtec engine, like if i bought a GLi.. i could buy a vtec thingo and put it in? ROFL if that sounds so noob 2 the dayz but im just asking

b20 comes from a crv. bolting on a vtec head to a non vtec block is called lsvtec usually.

lsvtec is the name people use for a non vtec b18c block from an ls integra,getting mated with a vtec b16 or b18 head....to give you a vtec b18,an lsvtec.

dont get carbon fibre boot,im pretty sure you lose your reverse lights,and cops will be all over you like a donut shop.if you really really want the black boot look just paint it black

i'm pretty sure that the LSVTEC only works on the b18 blocks, your not gonna get it for your eg with a D series block if that's what your thinking.

paint your boot. any body shop will do it. ain't carbon fibre but looks good.

OK thanks alot people! Just one question, what are the possible ways to get vtec into a non vtec eg d-series.. besides engine conversion.. i know vtec aint everything its made up 2 be, but better than nothing :) fuel consump :D

gl and gli aren't vtec. only the vti was sohc vtec.

d series vtec is useless unless you are turboing it.useless like you will be about as fast as a lancer.its more economy vtec in the d rather than the performance vtec in the b h and k series.its not worth it....if you want vtec,do a conversion

Well i think it does look good so yeah x) But i've changed my mind anyways, i'll just paint it black. Sorry, but what i meant wats involved for a GL - GLi to put vtec in it >_< AND also, like i said earlier, i aint vtec'ing the engine for performance (i know it doesn't go for jack balls on crap engines) i just want it for fuel consumption.

pretty sure you'd get more mileage with a non vtec engine, so keep the current engine.
