Does this damage gear box

Going L D2 - N

I know if u go N (with revs) and then to D you will fux ur gearbox, but what if u go from one of the gears like D2 into Neutral, like it goes, then when u put into neutral, it just revs high..

but does this damage the gearbox if it was a one off situation, its never gonna happen again, but just asking, big damage or small damage for that one time.. ?

what car do you have?

going at any speed, it is ok to select it back to Neutral.

and if you were going at speed and went into Drive, it would be ok too

your gearbox will be 100% fine.neutral is like the safe area.its where everything disconnects basically and just free revs.

just dont go - reverse ,neutral rev,drop into d......that will hurt your gb alot,apart from that you cant do much damage to them in normal everyday driving
