First thing you need to decide - how much money do you have to spend. This determines what you can do, and what's best to do.

How old is the car? Is it even run in yet?

If you can't afford a full coat of red paint, try some Red H badges. :p

"RED SNAP-ON" seat covers.

Seriously, is it a FD1 or 2?

Regardless do the usual I/H/E, really depends on how much you have and what your goal is.

Dont say you wanna make 50kwatw whilst spending $500 without using any more fuel and have the car as quite as stock ;)

I/H/E and Hondata. Should cost you around $5k depending on the breather mods you use. That should get you around 15-20fwkw. Not many people here have done much more than I/H/E to their FDs.

Has anyone here done headers on the FD1? Haven't seen any real performance gaining exhausts done on OH; a few Fujitsubo ones on Singapore forums. Mugen one doesn't do much from what I've heard.

Haven't heard of any ECU changes, at least not on FD1s. Any thoughts or experience guys?

in my opinion, hondas are very hard to get any more power out of without spending alot of money on them if you want to keep it NA. It's just a big waste of money. The only route would be to supercharge or turbo it to get significant power boost. just having I/H/E would gain very very little. I've had 4 hondas now and gone thorugh it all ... also had a S15 and REX ... turbos are way easier to get significantly more power out of with. Just the cost-to-power increase ratio is silly for hondas. that's just my opinion and through my experience. I'd go with the fantastic handling route and out run things around corners rather than in a straight line .. and it's more fun. Hondas have a great chasis to start with.

but installing unichip need very good and smart tuner ;)
this is on Honda stream RSZ R18 engine (same as FD1)

max 160 hp (116-118 kW) --> but still lower than FD2 ..;-)

FD2 --> Hondata available now for ECU

run in the car, like you will drive it for the rest of its life.

you bought the wrong car if you wanted it to be fast lol. having said that first mods i would do is new tyres + coilovers. car turns very well after those.

no point doint anything else except mebbe change fuel types lol.

if you dont want to spend much money on mods, then weight loss is your best friend for mods

LOL yep stop eating mi goreng, maccas and kfc. That's an even cheaper way to reduce the weight of the car.
