are the catbacks between the two exchangeable?

does the cat sit differently between the two?

i think there about the same em & ej's are almost exact other then body wise + engine and few accessories

em is a b16 engine and a ej is a d16 engine.

The headers are different and the cat may be slightly different, but pretty sure the cat back is the same.

im pretty sure that they are from the catback.
maybe slight differences (to accommodate differences in power) but hangers and length would be the same.

awesome link....from that i've gather em1 cat is about 10cms longer than that of the ej8.

hence meaning if i get an exhaust coming from an em1 it'd be about 10cms shorter at the end....

yeah a decent exhaust shop will be able to make up the difference for you.
I always use performance exhaust to do my stuff though ;)

i dont think they are the same.. the hooks are different.. overall the ek4 is shorter than the em1.

yup em1 is longer. Pretty sure though that its only the axle back part though.
I think the b-pipes are the same, but i only saw them didn't bother measuring them up at the time
