excellent results for the k20! james, do u have any results/graphs of b16a powered cars with hondata?
http://www.hondatech.com.au/hondata/kpro/3-web.jpg
For all those B16A owners (mostly Civics/CRX's i assume, maybe the few odd 2nd gen teg) who may find this of interest.
Mods to the engine are : K&N pod, OBX 4-2-1 header, 2.5" custom exhaust.

don't take the KW number to heart, look at the actual percentage increase in power.

I know comparing dyno figures can be a bit iffy, but up here in QLD I pulled 104.1kw with similars mods and no hondata.

i am thinking bout going the same way here....

can u guys tell me whats the drive/performance like with this power figure from stock form? can u feel the increase in power when in vtec mode? is it worth the money?

thanks guys

VTEC is really good if u want brute top end power and a light weight 4cyl...honda have really hit the mark with this one :D:D
so yeh if u have the money...go 4 it!
stock a VTEC will produce good power...so if u had one i wouldnt be complaining...
the only reason i am not going down the VTEC route is because i am wanting a car for everyday driving...hence the D16a8...VTECs are for high end power usually and they dont have (much) torque

can you feel the increase in power when in vtec mode?
hmmm
lets just say...yes :honda:

i was told from a zorst place that 2 1/4 inch is right size for a B16a...i noticed that size of the zorst is 2 1/2 inch....which one is better to get?

I have 2.5" exhaust on my car, works well for me.

if you intend on working on your car, and seeing increases with mods, always go to the same dyno tester and on the same dyno. its as close as you will get to seeing the exact increase percentage. But if at all, you should only compare cars run on the same dyno. Still not bad increase... what was the Unchipped run?

PM BLKCRX (AKA James :P) He has all the answers... Dont quote me but for a B16a looking at around $1100-1200 fitted and tuned.

doesnt really mean much.. with hondata u'll get 120kw.....

nice result ray.. thanks for that graph.. ever taken the lil red civic to the creek, or wakefield times? (if u did, did u get any times before the setup?)

nice result ray.. thanks for that graph.. ever taken the lil red civic to the creek, or wakefield times? (if u did, did u get any times before the setup?)yes, but hard to compare. before & after runs at Wakefield/EC were affected by other factors.
1/4 mile, went 0.1 quicker, despite my 60ft being 0.1 slower. mph is consistently faster by at least 2mph.
Very consistent mid 15's.

Wakefield, have not got an unofficial 'after' time yet. [Call these my excuses hehe]
I might start doing a 3rd gear run at 80km/h & time it to redline. (of course on a private road)

Still not bad increase... what was the Unchipped run?
88.7kW

Great Results Ray !!!whats next on the list ?
still playing Keno for that LSD ! :D

I do know for sure, that the car runs smoother, rev's out cleaner & fuel consumption is alot better even though power is up.
Either way, there are gains to be had from a properly tuned aftermarket ecu.

SIKCVC: 1100-1200 where did u get those figures from?
Im not disputing you, but i was quoted once 1700$ for the actual unit and 2000$ all up installed + tuned... was just interested in the price...

the units start from $800 from memory, it depends which options you want.

88.7 too 105 not bad at all!!! Man I'd hate too see how much it would be on my car at the dyno I go to!!! stupid power.

Yeah around $850 i think it was for the S 200 computer. (thats S200 not s2000)
