Depeneding on wat year your teg is mate if its the early model DC2 (i think ppl call it DC4) its easy but if its the newer model your going to find it a bit hard as you see the fronts are very different.
Have a closer look at the pics from newport my car teg is the silver one and its diff on the front ie doest have the extra bar going across where they mounted theres.
Anyways good luck i hope this helps a little. ;)

dc2 = integra vti-r
dc4 = integra gsi
im not sure it denoted which year or series. but instead denoted the model.

All input welcome mate i just put wat i thought.
I thought the older model 94-98 was called DC4 and the 99-01 was called DC2 but i could be wrong not sure??? Or is just series 1 and series 2?
fried
31-08-2004, 03:51 PM
im pretty sure its just first series and second series.
dc4 = gsi, dc2 = vtir
i drive vtir dc2 its 94. joneblaze drive gsi dc4, its 95. i had a vtir dc2 96.

Fried is correct. The DC4 denotes a non-VTEC Integra model I believe...aka GSi in AUS.
Lerroy, so that was your blingmobile VTiR (or GSi?). Love the colour code. Am planning to do the same to mind (it's been too long), if you could PM me with details regarding where you got it done that'd be great!
As to the plate conversion, mine is shonky but looks ok, Fried is teh relocation master...his method is quick and painless and looks perfect. :) Maybe he'll impart some knowledge via PM or in person some day.... Can't have every DC Teg and his dog running around Sydney lookin the same... ;)

So did you screw it on the new location?
And is this legal?
;)
just my personal opinion: don't do it, cos the screw holes in the stock location look ugly.

Hate those bloody tow bars. I've seen too many times when some stupid driver tries to do a reverse park and uses his/her tow bar as a 'guide'. They'll reverse, until they hit the other car and just move forward, park and go on their way. No damage to their property, so they don't care. Darn tow bars should be taken off when they are not hooked up or in use.

That's just low. Looks like you're not going to go ahead with plate moving eh? Was the damage bad or not really noticable?
too bad you missed the cruise though, more tegs would have been nice. Not that i was present at the photo shoot anyway :p

ill be there next cruise :P
but yeah i will pull off the plate and have a look its bent to the front bonnet in the middle just looks lik its dinged a bit but yeah if i take it off im gonna have to do a bit of work to get it looking nice.

mine's a white DC2.. i was at the cruise but no one too pictures of it.. too ugly maybe :o it's the only DC2 with stock rims. So next to those other nicely modified ones.. mine's crap. So you won't be able to see it in the pics :(
where abouts in sydney are you from?
the front of the DC2/4 tegs are the worst places to hit.. since it's a one piece front.

why would you ever bother moving the plate to the side if it's an integra, this is a jap import thing and it is only done so the plate does not obstruct the intercooler flow. As i'm sure you don't have a front mount why would you do it for????

lol. mate, A LOT OF THINGS dont make sense. like 17"+ rims, like body kits, like fast powerful cars, loud stereo SPL systems, short-shifters... rah rah rah rah rah.
i cant believe that ur kickin a fuss about moving the number plate - even just for aesthetic purposes - as opposed to other things, like those stated above.
ur obviously taking a practicality point of objection. but then again, i raise those questions above.
unless ur driving like a hybrid non petrol sort car, then u possibly dont have arguement, and even then, u might as well be walking :rolleyes:
fact is... if it isnt "to look cool"... and its just to get u around, then the hybrid civic would be good enough for. extremely practical. :thumbsup:
if that floats ur boat!

fried.

your saying you want to make it look better tho... the stock front bar (guessing you have one) has the plate for it as well has the holes, thus will leave a really ugly looking front bar, if you have an aftermarket, yeah, still does nothing, but will look nice, but with stock front looks very ...average. Saw a Civic with it yesterday... very average
This is a guy i knows Civic and he as a turbz conversion, but keeps the plate centred... plates just look really nice there

the stock front bat has a mounting bracket which comes off there are two small holes that can easily be filled
you probably havnt seen it done well fried show us some pics of yours to setle this argument :)
and by the way i didnt want to do this to increase performance i did it to look better and in my opinon it did look good
whats the pic for of that gold teg ??

HAHAHAHAHA omg.....
mate..... u think that looks good right?! well whats the point of all that? hes completely changed the car. EXCEPT for the number plate still staying in the middle.
now, all lerroy is wanting to do is move the number plate, instead of changing his whole car... its almost the same thing. except one person is changing one thing, and the other changing another thing.... all for PERSONAL preference and what they think looks good...
lol. so if you like ur friends car like that?! why cant lerroy like his car with his plate to the side? lol... aiy....

not talking about the car hey... even tho yes i do think it's nice. I was just saying the plate looks good centred... it's his car he can do what ever he wants to do, best of luck to him is he decideds to go that way. He asked for an opinion so i gave him mine, i asumed this was the point of a forum. I didn't bag him as a person, i didn't bag his car (yet you come on and bag a one of a kinda turbo civic), i simply gave an opinion, and if you can't handle that and need to make make remarks like... hahahah you think that is a nice car... why would you do that to a car hahahahah... what is the point off doing all that hahahaahah....then perhaps you need to have a bit of a look at yourself
The pupose of changing on that car was to build a one of a kind car.... and he has been rewarded for doing so........
I don't have a problem with him doing anything to his car..... i'm all for modding cars.. as i said just an opinion
So what have you modded on yours that makes you an expert on other peoples cars????
