so i got a set of jdm 4-1 headers however it appears the little bit of piping that usually protrudes from the flange to hold the donut gasket in place has been cut off in favor of a flexi-joint attachment
now i have two questions

1. is it okay to just bolt it together with the gasket in place and hope it holds
2. can i just take the headers to an exhaust shop to weld on a little bit of piping so that i can sit the donut on as it would have been in stock form

best thing would to be go an actually let th exhaust shop have a look at it.
its their job to fix things like that.

not going to learn if i just keep paying someone to fix things for me :)
just exploring options anyway

you know my answer but for the record, go flexi, less chance of header breaking and also no leaking
