Hey everyone I just bought a 1979 Honda Accord and can find very little info about it. My friend has had one for a few years and its been a great car to drive and i saw one for a $1000 so i picked it up.

Does anyone have any info about these cars??? I had a look on google and kept coming up with the same small bits of info..

Im wondering if its possible to put maybe a civic or other engine in it, how much it would cost and if it would be worth it..

But yea... any info about this car would be awesome :) thanks

Hey mate, look at www.1stgencivic.com (http://www.1stgencivic.com) they have more than just 1st gen civics there, they have links to accord sites and a whole accord forum. There would be no reason why you couldnt put a civic engine in, there are people who have done it before. From what I have seen, it has been more popular to put other accord engines in rather than the civic engines. (unless your talking out of a 1990+ civic ) There are een mounts being made and sold in the US by people doing conversions on these all the time.

Oh my congradulations on buying This

Was this the one on ebay? (she looks beautiful)

How is the rust on it?

If your in need of more info join up here, Introduce yourself and ask questions

http://www.3geez.com/forum/

They are good guys but mostly in the states and canada (so expect answers much later then posting)

Other then that i think the 3g civic engine would be a close direct drop...

If that is then you can probably drop a 1st generation integra engine in it

Anyway hope this helps...Will keep an eye out for you (parts and posts/threads)

If you need to source some parts just send me a pm and i should be able to help you find what you may need
