FFS - EG HATCH BONNET VS EG SEDAN BONNET - Interchangeable ?!?!

I have been looking for this answer for ages but really cannot find any clear conclusion. Being

Will a EG hatch bonnet fit on a EG sedan ?

i have read through 13 pages of ozhonda searchs.... hondatech... google and the list goes bloody on.

I have seen no photo evidance as of yet.

Most people say the hatch bonnet is longer..... will bolt to the civic bay .. will close but will overhang slightly.



Im not after people saying... " i think" or "it should"..... people who have actually attempted this, even with pictures could they please give me some info?

won't fit.
pretty sure, sedan ones are longer, can't remember which one was longer or shorter
but i tired putting a hatch one on my car, and wouldn't work.

why wouldnt it work? what wouldnt clear or line up etc?

and i'm pretty sure the hatch ones are shorter than sedan.

hatch longer the majority of that says but a pic would be nice. my bonnet is longer for some reason on my hatch. makes me think maybe it was from a sedan now.

are sedan bonnets harder to find or something?
or you want to get a fibreglass bonnet and dont make for sedan?

Yeah.... Do i smell a hatch f/end conversion or is it an aftermarket bonnet?

He has a Sedan with just the Hatch bar conversion, looks good.

dont u think aftermarket parts will be called Honda Civic EG hatch/sedan cf bonnet ?

i saw a EG civic with a sedan front bumper.... it was holding by cable ties becos the ends of the bumper were longer than the hatches.

i've done and tried.
won't fit properly.

asking for pics is a bit much from me, i tried doing it 4 years ago.
and asking from pics from people on here, don't think so either, because they searched and found their answers.

as destrukshn says, sedan bonnet won't fit at all on hatch...

if u don't believe any of what we said, try find a mate or someone with EG/EH sedan, and measure the sedan bonnet against hatch bonnet...

I know Research on these forums has done the hatch bar swap, & has pic's of it in some thread... cbf looking.

And from what I've read on previous threads about this barefootbonazi has done it also.

EG hatch bonnet is not the same as a EG sedan and both are not interchangeable. Different part numbers blah blah
