i just read that the stock ek4 tyre size is 195/55 R15
now my car is running 205/50 R15 and i alwyas thought that was the stock size
does anyone with and ek4 run the 195/55?

i just wanna know if there are any differences in handling
perhaps better response?
im just guessing here

note: dc2r and ek9 both come with 195/55 stock

Yeah, the stockies are 195/55.

I'm running 205's now, but they're 205/40/17's and as such, I can't comment on how 205/50's handle. You should expect more grip though ;)

Honda had a reason having the 195/55R15. The tyre plaque should give u the maximum size u can have on the road having a 15 inch wheel.

This is based on a safety perpective.. :!:

yeah i think im changing back to 195/55 after this set of tyres
just that i never knew that my tyres werent stock size
when i checked the wheel
i saw there were stock tyres so i assumed hte size was too

yeah i'd stick with 205/50 dude... depending on the tyre, most if not all will exceed honda's specs for the cars...the tyre placard says need a minimum of 84 sth...just check the model of tyre on the manufacturer's web site for the magical number. 205 should give u slightly better grip/traction unless it's a crappier tyre.

im running on 205/50/15 on my 15s too, and i find them better than factory. i have not issues with em, only reason im going buy stock tyre sizes again is $$$ factor.

when i bought my ek4 vtir second hand it had 195 50s on them, they were great for grip even when the tread really started to wear down.
Now i have 205 50s and im experiencing more straight line grip and matched cornering grip, and they look the goods.
Running 50s instead of 55s has thrown out my speedo tho.
I have no clearance problems with these tires, and im running optional factory lowering sussy, easily 1.5" lower than stock.
