For some reason my account doesn't work at www.ausjazz.org so I'll say hello here.
I have a 2004 Jazz VTi in the light blue color with the CVT gearbox. I wanted a manual car, but as I got the jazz from my sister for almost nothing I'll live with it for now (Planning on swapping in a K20A when I can afford to insure a highly modified car).
Hope to meet some cool people here!

Hello from another jazz-freak!!You are very lucky because you have the 1.5
I have only the 1.3 because in europe we are not so lucky people:confused::confused:

welcome welcome. Good luck saving for the swap your looking at least 15k for the job.
Insurance aint that bad, just car insured my car for a fraction dearer then a stock jazz because the agreed value is higher and they hit of with a 1350 excess which ain't too bad cos i'm 21

now days you can source really decent parts to help you with moding but you do need to do your research because it takes a lot more to get it road worthy and legal.
There is another guy on this forum in the brissy area thats attempting to do it but his car has been off the road 4 over 6month and it's still not done so be prepared to utilise public transport for a while if you rely on it. I'm not sure if it has been done successfully yet in australia so good luck.

I'm currently waiting for swap kits to be released. I remember reading somewhere that several companies in America are developing kits to make the engine swap a lot easier.
Anyway, what I really want to change right now is the stupid CVT transmission. It's annoying me like a swam of bees...
