Guys and ladies!!!

Need your valued opinions

I have a 2007 euro luxury in Premium white pearl. Have narrowed down to two kits the 2006 euro R (sports kit) or 2006 Mugen with front bumper bar, sides and rear under..

I know one is a hell lot more expensive $$$$ Mugen lol. worth it, not sure!!!

What you guys think????????

Pics added of other cars!!!

Mugen kit certainly looks good, but $$$.
If you can source a sport kit cheap, then i would go for the sport kit.
Any idea how much they will cost brand new?

I believe the sports lip is around $550-600 from honda. Not 100% sure on this, got a quote awhile back

Yeah I think Euro R is the way to go!!!.

Has anyone fitted on 06-07 euro r kit to a 06-07 luxury!!

Believe it's a direct fit correct???, honda are saying they are not sure it will fit.

The only diff i see between the sports and luxury are HID washers. Obviously ill just have to get the bolts and washers as this kit is a spare part only not accessory.

Darkii_
13-03-2008, 09:37 PM
The euro r lip wont affect the washers will it, the washers are above that. Don't you just remove your factory lip and replace it with the the euro r lip which has the slits next the the fog lights.

I believe thats the only thing thats different between the euro r and standard euro lip. Our lip has a plastic bit next to the foglights, while the euro r has those slits as a part of the actual lip.

That's the impression that i got when i saw a picture of the lip taken off a euro sports. Correct me if i'm wrong but.

i think it can be done, but im not 100% sure but its a whole bumper change, and if you got a lux and want the sports you need to customise your bumper to fit the washers in.

Darkii_

Umm are you sure about that. I saw this ebay auction and the guy is just selling the lip. You can see it in the picture below.

Looks like a straight bolt on to me. Then again, i haven't tried installing this or seen it in person; so you might be right r-r-redEuro. Thats basically all i know about the lip =) Hope some of the information i've given is correct or atleast helps you in your search.

Whole bumper change??? damn!! yeah did'nt think that would be necessary!!..

Surely someone's done this before! More researching i think.

I assume direct bolt on!!

Honda tell me The bumper part number on the euro sport is a different to part number on lux. I thought only due to HID's. However I believe bumper is still same shape and size on both models. So should bolt on i hope lol, but still not confident :o

Thanks for the info

its a different part because of the washers only. the lip should fit. from the looks of it it should fit finely. if its a whole bumper change then you gotta mod the washers in.

the problem with 06 lip kit is you need to cut out your oem fogs and reposition it with hangers into the lip, i still dont understand how thats supposed to work like does the lip just sit on the bumper? sounds crappy if it does.

the front lip uses torx screw i think, to hold it onto the body.

The Sports lip kit is not the Modulo lip kit.

The above pic is the Modulo lip kit.

If you have an Euro R, you would have a Sports lip kit.

If you bought a bodykit from Honda when you got your car, it should look like that one pictured before. Otherwise it's most likely stock, maybe if you post a picture of your car we'll be able to tell you.

The Euro R kit for 06+ is known as the euro sports kit in Australia, we also have the modulo lip kit which is the oem kit you can get from honda also.

Interested in seeing everyone's ride that has one & what wheel/car paint colour combo they've done.

That's a stock facelift (2006) front bumper, without modulo side skirts, you don't have any kits on that car, it's completely stock, the sports bumper looks slightly different and the modulo kit flares out a lot more on the side

Oh, thank u very much, now i've got the whole idea, i guess the one i'm after is just the OEM side skirt + rear lip then as i like the facelift front bumper i currently have now

anyone have any idea of how much will it cost for OEM side + fitting? also how much for the rear lip +fitting?

many thank la

sorry to steal the thread......but is it a major job to fit the sports kit on a 06 lux?? i rang up my local dealer and they said it was impossible to fit the sports kit into my car.......I also have slight rear bumper damage and was hoping the lip would cover this up........can i just bolt it on or must i smoothen it out prior to fitting??? thanks

Darkii_
20-03-2009, 09:55 PM
I think the skirts/rear would be ~$550, and fitting would be around $113 i think. Call up your local honda and ask but, then you'll be sure of the price

Razer, i don't see any different between the lux bumper apart from the headlight washers, but they wont affect the lip installation. As long as its 06+ it should fit perfectly. I'm not sure about the damage question but
