Hi guys,

This is a question on dif's in general. It might sound a little nooby - but here you go anyways.

I was just wondering, if I were to install an after market dif (Cusco) - would you actually expect gains at the wheels, due to how the dif puts down the power to the road?

Not fussed about the power issue (thought just crossed my mind, so I thought i'd ask), but a Cusco dif would be nice for handling.

Also, will it make more power ATW, given that both Difs are in brand new condition? Will a Clutch dif "hold" more power and then transmit it to the wheels more so than a Torsion OEM DC2R dif?

No, no difference in power once the clutch is locked.

Difference is in actual driving where torsen works all the time to prevent slip while clutch will engage when there is slip. Disadvantage of torsen is when the wheel slips (one wheel on road, other on dirt/ice), then it will keep spinning and act like an open diff. The clutch LSD would have transferred the torque to the wheel on the road instead.
