^ S2000.

I've seen a couple of these projects going in the US actually, although I think Inline Pro is the first. I'd like to know how they set up a RWD engine in a FWD car (in regards to sump and oil feed etc.), although it probably wouldn't be that much of a change.

Pretty cool!

So just for the noobies:) the f20c is 'better' than the previously K20,right?

Its a natural powerplant! The F20c has about 180kw give take a few depending on the country, and 200nm of torque. Thats crazy! Put it into a light chassis like the Eg and power 2 weight ratio is up there with some very expensive cars.

f series > k series.
f series $$$ > k series $$$.
well it'll be logical to think that.
they wouldnt make a kit if its shitter than the current kits out.

I've always wondered if this was possible... now i have confirmation

Gotta love the engineers @ honda

Is Inline pro itself, or hasport etc making these a readily available conversion mount set???

*Off topic but would it also be possible to mount an NSX V6 into the nose of an S2000 (FR layout) with a little mixing a matching???

Looks good.. but is it really worth it? S2k are so dear compare to a normal K20a engine. For the money, you could of easily built a k20a engine to make more power than an stock s2k engine.

Good looking project, but cost would be an issue.

aznpsuazn
19-03-2008, 12:16 PM
The cost is very high. but its also about being different and being the first do achieve it!

20-03-2008, 12:33 AM
there was an ek with a f20c in the forsale section from qld last year from what i remember.

i would of thought that f20s are alot more expensive than k's seeing its from an s2k - therefore not many has done such

i was thinking when i get a full time job as an engineer, then i will try to pay someone or try to build an EG with MR layout, nsx engine in the car behind the front seat, take the rear seats out, completely redesign it, the have it runs on rear wheels,

u guys think it is possible??? i always have this crazy ideas.......... but it is really expensive to buy the engine.

i have seen someone put a W12(2 V6 engine) in the back of the VW Golf, that car has 500+kW, increase the qidth of the rear shaft, so that the car has more banlance, but yet the car still spin like a nuts once u plate the foot down, insane to the max

Pretty crazy idea alright...

Would be fast & all... don't get me wrong, but you may as well buy an NSX.

You'll spend that or more in doing that to a lil EG.

I think you need to decide what you are hoping to achieve first of all. Yes its possible, everything is possible. Limiting factor is money. Will you get it registered ? Doubt it. How much will it cost? $50k doesn't seem like a bad guess. In the end you have an EG that cost you $50k.

my target is to get trophy for it, and to be unique........
and be on car magazine.....seen that WRX ute??? won so many trophies

to be honest, i will save the money for it, but the thing is that i dont think many people know how to do it.

aznpsuazn
21-03-2008, 12:23 AM
Well you could get a trophy for a lot less, same with the magazine. It is definitely possible ! Although i could think of many other ways to get a trophy for the money you'ld spend doing the job.

$50k is just too much money to spend on a car unless your loaded in the first place.

its just a waste spending so much money into sumthing thats undrivable.
if you really want sumthing insane for power to weight might as well make a v8 gokart lol.

I have seen this conversion done on Honda-tech... even they over there believe its more a ...

"wow look at what i can do" factor...... then "bang for buck"

Imo dont really think the F20c would be that much quicker. but still its pretty dam cool... if only it were RWD

the guy who made civette had a wrecked corvette and fine LS1 engine so he converted his EK1 and spent no extra money on parts afaik. everything was fabricated, but the guy who put together civette (v8 ls1 ek civic) was an engineer afaik

those people that say "why spend 50g on an civic.?"

theres a bloke who owns an SX corolla who has spent upwards of 100g on it...

thats a waste imo
