Hey guys
I have found a S2000 01 build compliance may 02 first registered nov 02. 15250 km Red, One owner local country car for $40000 . I looked at the car today not bad, leather needs conditioner on it bad as when he does drive it to work he leaves the roof down when parked.
Some moisture in the front drives light but when I took it to the local Smash repairer to look at it. They said they had replace the front bar drivers head light when his wife reversed into it with one of their other cars. No other work done on thier records. They also know the owner and are fixing hail damage on his odyssey at the moment so all work would have been done by them. They looked all over the car and said its good, and the moisture they would fix as thats the light they replaced. Car has only been serviced twice because it only has 15000 km so I am going to get the local dealers who put me onto the car in the first pplace to give it an oil change once I buy it. What do you guys think as experienced S2000 owners is $40000 a good deal? Anthyting I should double check ?

40,000 is a bit steep i rekon. even for a car with that low kmz'

seems a good deal except the color is not popular than others. Make sure it haven't get any accidents and work well, GL with buying.

Good price there because of the low kms.

a couple more full stops and commas would be nice dude

look at the car while considering the mileage rather than the age.

for 5.5 years of driving 15000km is ridiculously low. but if within that 15000km the front bar had to be resprayed and the headlight had to be replaced (i assume from what you wrote,) then i'd question exactly what kind of driving was done during that period.

same deal for the leather - for the amount of use its been through, i'd wonder why it's already worn?

get it checked out by an independent party if youre really interested.

Jesus mate low k's on that one. I paid 35 and mine had 60 so it seems like a fair deal.

I like mine because it's gunmetal I just love the colour

15k's on such and old are raises eyebrows as to whether or not the k's were tampered with... Sounds extremely suss due to the worn leather.. Might need to look into it more carefully, dont just trust their word.

Friend of mine told me that in malaysia you could easily find a workshop who will be able to 'wind' your k's back on newer cars.. thats scary.. considering people nowdays put too much trust on technology and automatically assume that its tamper proof.

ok today on the way home a measured how many km from his work to his house and the kms are spot on to what he told me he drives it once to twice a week, and occasional sunday costal drives. It less than a 25km round trip. He said he was going to buy a boxter but like the s2000 better and he could buy/service it locally but his mid life crisis is over:o he does not need a third car any more. Will talk to my freinds at honda service tommorow about the car. It has a plastic window but i really good nic

i agree. Km and service history is not everything, coz a lot of mechanics can just give u a page of stamps for 100 bux.... a good mechanical check by your own mechanic will give u a better idea of how the car is.
