Buying my first Honda hopefully this week. Been looking at Integra Type R's and i think ive found the right one, 2001 Type R 1.8L, fingers crossed.

My name is AJ and im from Sydney. New to forums and hondas so pretty excited to purchase one!

Welcome to the forum man. You're gonna get the nicer gearbox and whatnot seeing as it's a newer DC2R... very nice.

what do you mean by nicer gearbox? just because its newer or did they change them?

Im pretty sure they all have the Hydro LSD gearbox with the 4.6(unsure) final drive.. im unaware that they've changed them for the later models

Anyway good luck with the buy and welcome :)

I thought the 98+ had the better final drive? Best Motoring said it took something like .3 off the 1/4 mile.

Yeah the dc2r 98+ has a FD of 4.7 while the 96+ FD is 4.4
