setting radio code

Hi all,
I have done a search for instructions on Civic posts and I hope you can provide instructions how to install security code for my '97
Civic radio(headunit).I have the security number in my manual but no instructions on how to use it and also I dont have an instruction manual for the radio.Changed flat battery and when turned on I get "code"message.Any help would be appreciated

the code should be a 5 digit number and you enter it with the radio preset numbers 1-6

don't enter it too fast.... or too slow obviously lol.

you have 3 goes before you lock it up. if it gets locked up it varies from model to model how to unlock it. in most cases you need to have the car running for a certain amount of time and it just unlocks
