H22a 94 Accord

Hey all wasn't too sure where exactly to post this but can get moved if in appropriate.
The luck with selling my accord hasn't been the best (especially with pain in the ass imature P platers) so i have decided to keep it and H22a convert it.
Question i want to put out there is how hard is the conversion? Is it something me and my mechanic mates could handle to do in a weekend or so? or better off sending it to a shop?
whats involved in the conversion in the likes of engine mounts radiator hoses etc?

Just thought i'd say (dunno if it makes a difference of not) found a 98 prelude H22a engine that i can pick up.
Thinking about puttin a set of cams n cam gears on before it goes in. are there any other ideas (along with intake exhaust and computer) to make it quicker?

go get yourself a front cut with everything included (preferably from the same chassis) e.g. SiR model, or else you're going to spend the next 10 years gathering parts and putting it together.

the tranny mouny you have to buy a custom one or modify the mount bracket

youve got a small amount of welding if your accord is auto unless theyve made a mount for it by now

front cuts are available from most import wreckers.

If u get a front cut from the same car, then everything is simply a swap and go.

drive in, drive away. of course u pay for the front cut, usually around $3K ish for an H22A + add another $1K or little more to conversion itself.

That is the best way to do it. You will be looking for a 94 to 97 Accord SiR front cut.

edit: not sure if they made SiRs for the update accord tho.. 98-02 accords are my specialty :) :)

Good luck either way and do heaps of research and pricing before you spend a cent.

they did make accord sir's they come with 190hp version of the h22a and will be an easier swap than using a prelude sir front cut 200hp.

i think the biggest problem is sourcing these front cuts....

i have no idea where to start, its not like just going down to the
mechanics and saying i want a front cut, then they pull one
off the racks lol

mate there are quite a few import wreckers around that might have these front cuts, hit up the yellow pages or something and start calling around :)
