Hi anyone know how to install OEM EK9 Rear Lip? I can see clips on the lip but there is no where for them to clip onto my oem bar and didnt come with no screws in box?
Anyone done this before thanks...

you need to drill holes into your rear bar champ, thats the down side of putting on the lip

Not dodgey, they come out of the factory like that if it was a ek9 , thats the only way to keep them secure, well you could get double sided tape maybe? and risk it, then if you decide to take it off you might have some paint coming off with it also, so respray would be needed, weigh it up and see, drill holes / respray

hey can you post a picture of how the inside looks like? i got the holes in my bumper but no lip, was always curious as to how it mounted securely so i can perhaps replicate that on a replica lip

cant do it on a replica lip coz it doesnt have the thread for the bolt on ur lip to go into

doesn't mean i can't glue on some bolts to replicate the oem lip properly
i just need to see how they've done it since everyones got what the lip looks like on the outside but not on the inside

use a strong adhesive on the back of the lip to glue on bolts
use long enough bolts to hold the lip to the bumper
nevermind, i'll just do it the way i've imagined it :)

LMAO ;)
vinny the way u have explained it u better of just glueing the lip on
y bother trying to make it genuine on the inside? i dont see any point. 90% of the ppl here can spot a replica lip from the outside anyway.
wen u see a genuine lip u will see wat i mean, the time spent on replicating the lip - u might as well buy a genuine 1, thats what i did.

dude thats not the problem i don't care if half you idiots know its genuine or not
i just want a better and less permanent solution to mounting the lip rather than bits of glue here and there which would just ruin paint when i want to remove it
i already got the holes in my rear bar from a previous lip install so i thought i may as well use them to my advantage and mount the lip better
honestly, who'd be stupid enough to replicate the oem mounting hardware just because its 'more oem' rofl then again it is ozhonda afterall

Hi!
Just went through this the other night on a 99' EK.
It's easy, just get a really small drill bit, and one that is as big as the bolt shaft you need to screw into the CTR lip.
On the standard face-lift OEM bumper (CXi or EK9, no difference) on the inside, clean it with a wet rag or a chamois - look very closely, you will see there are 6 marked poistions where the bolts need to go through. Drill with your small drill bit at the very centre of all these holes from inside the bumper out, then you will have a small guide point to drill with your bolt size drill bit from the outside in - this ensures you have a nice clean and flat hole edge, and that the holes are in the exact position.
Then just screw the bolts through into the retainers on the CTR lip.
Hope that helps.
Cheers, Dan.

Heres a pic - it's a 10mm head - 6 of these, and they came from the front lip of my DC2R. They're grey, and have 2 washers, one small one big.
Just head to any Honda dealership, they should have them.
Cheers! D.
