F1 Racing clutch & flywheel?

Hey guys i saw this on ebay and was wondering if any1 has had any experience with these clutches, and any feedback you have on them?as i am looking to put one on my b16a2 civic vtir

also how is my car likely to perfom with such a light flywheel. flywheel is 7.5 pound.

It's an organic sprung exedy clutch, made in SA and rebadged for the US market.

It's fine!

Never used one, but that clutch and fly is fine. Its a good upgrade.

Flywheel is light. Do a search on light flywheels and you will find the info you need. :thumbsup:

I have used the same product before. There was a very slight increase in acceleration in 1st and 2nd, take-off was slightly harder, the clutch has excellent grip for street driving.

One thing to note is whether you prefer 2-piece or 1 piece flywheels. I prefer 1 piece.

flywheel aint really that great on the B16 compared to B18

You don't need a 320hp rated clutch for a b16a though. That stage 3 clutch is rated for up to 388Nm! Fine for a turbo, overkill for an NA.

Gripforce are the people to deal with on eBay with clutches and brakes. I've got their stage 1 flywheel and clutch package for less than 500bux landed. Awesome package, great for my H22A :D

Gripforce are a good seller. I also bought a clutch and flywheel package from them. Arrived in Sydney in under 7 working days!

is the F1 racing stage 2 abit overkill for just a b16a with bolt ons? would the clutch be too heavy? just looking for something stronger than OEM :thumbsup:

They use UPS to ship, so either stay at home or give them your work address.

Agreed, I almost missed my package because they don't leave it out front like some postal services. Enjoy it! It's a great package to get, and a cheap and worthwhile upgrade!

What I did was once they tried but failed to deliver (you can track on UPS's website), just call them up, give them your work address and they will redirect it for you.

lol na no future plans except maybe a jackson racing kit if i end up keeping it for longer.

otherwise the only other reason i got it is so it lasts the life the car.... don't wanna have to take GB off again.. pain in the arse...

b16a has a hydrolic clutch, you don't really notice it much, unless you go somthing extreme like stage 3 or brass button.

stage 3 for competition clutch, great clutch. absolutly love it.
BUT, may need to upgrade it after, my rebuild.

Have a good read of their eBay pages on each product. It should say how much HP each stage can handle and what mods are recommended with it :)

Can't go wrong with Gripforce :) At one stage I wanted to bring their stuff in to sell locally...didin't work out lol

yeah great shop... even their gripforce-brakes division... may look into some slotted zinc coated 262mm rotors.. works out to be around AU$300 shipped for fronts+rears+axxis ceramic pads... the whole lot costs just under double what you'd pay for oem front brake pads in Aus lol.

As for the Stage 2 kit, despite power handling claims on the site... it managed to slip on my GFs DC4 when i dumped... only mods was the cai and the light fly...

as for the Stage 3 button one which i have on my B16a... gotta rev it a bit higher, otherwise the clutch makes an embarrasing squeaking noise at the lgihts.. people always think i'm gunning it or something....

yeah mate... far out... bennjamin did most of it for me but it still took us close to 10hrs over 2 days... but it includes plenty chat and wang action.. not lol
