hi all
i am unfortunate to get a chip on my windscreen on my way from work today, its a star shape and smaller than a 5 cent piece and it is about the 1 oclock position on the right hand the drivers field of view
now i want to know whether i need to get this patched up or if i can just leave if
and whats the cost to get it fixed?

if u have insurance and no excess fee for windscreen, just replace it.
if u leave it, once ur windscreen hit by small thing, it will crack right away.i had that experience before. at the end u still need to replace it. better do it now.

yea mate, i had a windscreen cracked very small but because of the pressure of the wind when ur drving it will make the crack bigger and bigger..eventually u guna have to replace it anywae.
but there is another solution, go to o'brien and ask for the cracked windscreen sticker.
its a stciker that goes on the cracked bit and it will hold it for a while...it hold my oddysey winsdcreen for about 1 year before i sold it.so its actually pretty good

they can get that fixed for you.
i think about $100??
if its on the driver's side there's a legal size for the crack to be under for it to be fixable, i think you're ok...
get it fixed ASAP...i had a crack on mine and when the windscreen got wet..(hot + cold)...i had a line straight down the windscreen...the crack more than doubled...

Agree with DMX. If you have windscreen cover, get it replaced. If you don't, get a piece of sticky tape and cover it up. Call Windscreen o'Brien to get it fixed before the crack spreads.

You know, if it is urgent, you can always call them to come out to where you are. I've had them replace a whole windscreen in a carpark in the middle of nowhere!

Call them up and ask. For local models, they use the proper one for your car (usually Pilkington). For an EP3R, it might be a problem if the windscreen is thinner than the local EP3's.
maybe some of the permatex stuff from supercheap may help you if its only a small crack.
try not driving on pot holes too!
