Hey guys, Very keen on either one of these ecu's for my dc2r. Just wondering which would u guys prefer? and give reasons to why?
Easier to get it tune? More places tune either ecu?
Or just one is simply better than another

Pick a tuner you think is good. Ask him what he prefers to tune.

In your case, I would recommend you use the Apexi Power FC.
In its favor, it's a straight plug in... (OBD2a) = Zero Greif
99% of tuners have no issue tuning this ECU = Choice
When you sell the car, you can remove it & sell it also…
In that, I think it’s good value.

Re: Chrome, Hondata etc...
These are OBD1 based tuning solutions,
To get it running, you'll need either an OBD1 ECU + crossover loom or Hondata OBD2a full ECU.
To get functionality superior to the Apexi FC, you'd need an S300 from Hondata.
Though the S300 is an excellent, user friendly system that is readily accepted by tuners, the down side in your case is cost due to OBD2a.
If cost isn't a factor, the S300 is the top choice as it is better than the FC
S300 software is free to down load here… (http://hondata.net/updates/?app=SManager&action=download)
Tuning hard ware is an AB USB cable

^What makes one ECU better than the other though?

Like, what puts the s3000 above the FC?
