eg civic 1.5 litre engine problem

car runs rich on cold start then when it warms up it runs fine. can hear popping noises on idle out the exhaust. when engine turns off, it still cranks for abit and dies..

1.5 litre. so dual carb.

with the dual carb its ment to richen the mixture when the choke is on. however if your mixture is to Rich or rich throu out the engine temp range you should look at the carby CV pistons. also the o2 sensor could be faulty, check the ecu for fault codes.

so how do i go about checking the carby cv piston i.e what to look for. and where and whats the ecu code. any link?

i tried spraying carby cleaner thinking maybe the autochoke mite be stuck. didn't work

what fuel are you running? I tend to notice when i put premium in there it runs hell rich on choke so i dont use premium anymore :)
