h22a is a perfect swap for cd5.
Unless you wanted a cheaper option, put a f22b1 (vtec model sohc) in.

if u dont really like the car why would u spend thousands of $$$ doing an engine convo? itd be much cheaper to just go buy something more powerful :)

yeah.. dont even bother with k20 or b18... thats for eg's and tegs.....h22a is literally direct bolt on into your cd5.. =) same power.. more torque

h22a manual-2.5 to 3.5K
installation from a shop will be about the 2k-2.5k depending on where you take it.

iv heard H22A's have 187 kw at the fly.... this seems very high... is this true or is som1 taking me for a ride...
btw i know pretty much nothing about Hondas (bought 1 just for a daily/ reliablecruiser)
got the Nissan Skyline for the (unreliable) performance pride and joy drift car. lol

so i may need some help with everything!!! but ye im not 1 of those hopeless forum no0bs who know nothing and want everything

More like 180hp. They're roughly 140kw depending on variant.

the H22A in the SiR accord is different to the H22A found in the prelude

different box and 20hp less

Yes that is very high to claim 187kws at the fly.
H22A's are roughly around 140kws at the fly.

Go with a H22A swap with a manual conversion and you will be happy. But if you have money under you pillow you might want to click on the link

Whaaa Cam!!! OMG Woot Woot Its gonna be one hot beast again! I was even sad to see ur car go as well... But anyways, BT1, Go the H22 Swap cant go wrong. Its cheap, and makes good power. And best of all no engineers Cert needed cos its the same CC and the mounts are exactly the same! So u save some money there!

meh....

got another question.... will Integra VTi-R rims (those 4std ones..Dc2 i think)
fit and how big are they..inches

Riviera
25-04-2008, 06:47 PM
mah man theyre different stud pattern and offset

theyre 4x100, accords are 4x114.3

and the size is 15 or 16

BT1_BOY
01-05-2008, 04:23 PM
I thought so, i knew my stud pattern was 4X114.3... but the guy selling the rims insisted that my stud pattern was the same as his (the DC2) 4X100...

wish they fit... they would look real nice on my accrord...

u kno where i can buy another set of Cd5.. Vti stock alloys... hopefully they are cheap.. ill have a play with them.. spray them white or gold of black... dont wanna wreck the 1's i got on though..

I can vouch for jkf's Accord :) sexy as CD5. I don't think he has tracked his car...its a custom kit with t4 turbo.

i had a JDM h22a in my accord

non lsd gearbox

bald bridgestone RE711's(which held up okay)
and one of my leads was dead( misfiring)

best time i got was a 14.7 with full interior + sound system

i was hoping for a flat 14 with system and that misfiring problem removed ( and tyres lol)

but thats the past, hope the new one does it alot quicker :)
