JDM Civic SiR EK4

so i guess its save to ask

what are the differences between the AUDM EK4 and the JDM EK4

what i know at the moment
jdm has:
+10HP
orange cluster
SiR and DOHC VTEC decals
a different centre console
slight difference in the exhaust system?
i was told LSD but i dont think so???

anythign else people wanna add?

The SiR comes in Auto option.

doubtful on the exhaust system... you'd expect more than 10hp... considering its tuned differently and timed appropriatly.

i not sure abt the difference center console or the exhaust system. the japan sale brochures shows the same :)

btw which center console are you refer in to? if it the handbrake cover, honda has 3 different types for the ek.

theres a pic of a jdm ek4 in nzhondas forum and it has a completley different centre console to ours as in where the time displaye and air condition switches are

Im pretty sure the LSD is an option when you buy it.
Similarly with the EG SIRs the limited slip is optional

A friends friend has a EK Vti hatch (which im 99% sure never came in aus, right guys?) That has a Navigation system in the dash ... not sure if the JDM EK4s have this or weather its an option or not...

Yes the Vti EK came to OZ........ the Nav Sys I believe never was an option on the Civics of that era in Australia!

I know there is a EK Vti (Sedan) but i never knew there was a Vti hatch introduced to ADM...

As far as i knew of I thought the EK hatch only came in GLi, CXi and Vti-r ?

i think in europe and UK there was an EK HATCH VTI, which is equivalent to our VTI-R.
also, the jdm cat is shorter than audm cat, i've also seen SIR come with different gear knob, which i think is similar if not the same as the DC2vtir teg's gearknob.

Yep - there's the VTi in the UK - exactly the same - I was comparing a mates EE9 (Euro spec EF9 but with a few cosmetic differences and down 10hp on the EF9) and we both had the same wheels on - off the EK4 VTi/VTiR.

go check with luznits coz :D and its certainly not yellow.

the grey or metallic background is right because its like a reflective strip.

i cannot think of why it is yellow, maybe it has turn yellow...anyway if you want to compare, i sure you be able to spot it on luznits lil red rocket ;)

but its more grey with a hint of goldish to it
mostly grey
it should be the same one

ive found out that LSD was an opiton on the ek4 and eg6
does anyone know what type of LSD it is?
and is it a honda one?

not 100% sure, but i think the LSD optioned ones use the s80 gearbox as apposed to a y21 or y80
