Im pretty sure thats the air intake sucking in the air....
Correct me if im wrong.
Yep my car whistles that is normal, it should not be excessivly loud though
but accelerating it will whistle, mine doesnt with the normal air filter but i found it did with a k&n

Check that you are not leaking any air around the K&N filter...

yeh ive got it too. and on gear changes too. don't know if its very audible from the outside but ive had a bomb of a commodore ask me if it was turbo. but don't know if they heard it or just randomly asked me?
personally ive heard the intake whistle on a mazda 3 on the freeway. think could only hear it when my windows were down though. and it definetly was not turbo coz i know the guy who drives it kinda.
Closest u can get to a " blowoff value " LOL WHISTLE FTW!!!!

Sometimes it can also be because the filter is too small or restrictive..

its normal, sounds alright...like another member said just accelerate smooth near cops..but is the sound because of exposed pod or alike? air sucking in more?
what are ppls experiences with boxed intakes?

I gotta try over 6k rpm. Been cheap trying to save petrol revving to a max of 4k these days...
