Hi,

the wire is long enough but i need some sort of reeling part that recoils the sire fomr teh horn....
any ideas? has any1 alreayd done this?

in the event of an accident the authorities will have you holding your ancles for that, then not to mention that its an undisclosed modification to your insurance company, meaning in the event of an accident they reserve the right to withdraw your policy and refund you your premium leaving you uninsured. ( read your policy fine print )

Yes, all the above is true.
Fashion over function?
I wouldn't give up my GSi driver airbag for anything...

Wouldn't an insurance company or smash repairer be required to reinstate an accident ridden car to it's original factory state?
How sure are you of your above comment? Some statutes or RTA guideline links would be good.

there is no excuse for removing your airbag, if it was deployed for what ever reason, it must be replaced. like Jon said above. the car must be restored to original state.
removing your airbag is like removing your seatbetls. the airbag is a supplimentry to the restarint system thus SRS.

Ross that doesn't really count brother, it's AAMI - an insurance company. We're more concerned about the legality of the SRS str wheel removal, aka RTA road rules.
Either way, at the end of the day, it's pretty stupid.

ok i did some searching on the RTA web site and found this:
Guidelines for Light
Vehicle Modifications:
Bodywork and interior
There are general requirements concerning alterations to the bodywork:
a) no alteration may cause a hazard to persons due to exposed sharp edges or projections; and
b) no alteration may cause a reduction in the level of safety or overall strength of the vehicle.
this is all i could find on the RTA website but i am sure if u called them they would be able to elaborate :D hope this helps
