Hi guys and gals,
Been pretty miserable on the weekend. Turning on the heater i realised that the air is pretty much on MAX HEAT all the time. I turned the knob to coolest still comes out piping hot. Temp gauge is fine. No idea whats wrong.
Thx

There's a wiring running from inside the cabin to the engine bay where the thermostat is. It's most likely a blue coloured wire with two circular loopholes at each end. Locate it in your engine bay, it should be somewhere beneath your intake manifold (not sure, been a while since it happened to me...EG Civic). If the wire has come off the thermo latch, hook it back on and see how that goes.
If it's latched on the thermo in the engine bay, take off the center console where your cigarette lighter and change draw sits. Stick your head underneath where there is now a gaping hole and check at the back of the climate control unit to see if it's latched on there...if not, hook it back on.
It's a big vague but you'll get it if you take a good hard look.
Cheers

Thats what hes telling you to check.
Theres two coolant hoses that go from your engine to your firewall. one of those hoses has the valve in it. That valve has a piece of wire with a loop in it connected to the slidey thing in your climate control. Just make sure its connected.
Although if its not connected it should be a fair bit easier to slide the heater control from hot to cold cause theres no spring in it anymore.

Yerp...Heater valve is correct. Give it a look-see and fix her up if it's become unlatched :)
