hey guys, i lost the key to my jazz today (it's the 06/07 one), i have a spare at home but it belongs to my mum but i can sneak it out for a day or 2. I'm guessing if I want a duplicate that looks exactly like the one i lost (ie 2 buttons, 1 for lock, 1 for unlock) i need to go straight to honda. Do you know how much and how long it will take for them to duplicate the key?]

i'm in perth btw :P

Go to your local mister minit. They may be able to make duplicate.

dun think u can duplicate the jazz key due to it having a laser cut in the key...

u would most likely get it done from honda...

Will cost you a lot of $$. Due to the OEM key is programmed also with immobilizer not just a spare key.

what about just a blank cut for opening the doors, without the electronics, chips and such? does anyone know where I can get it from and approx. how much?

the jazz 06/7 only have central locking right? no alarm? i think it would be cheap to get a key to open the doors.. but immobaliser is alot of doe.

I'm pretty sure they have an immobiliser transponder in the key. If it does, it'll cost you a few hundred . 2? 3?

yes, they do have immobiliser transponder in the OEM key, anyone know where can get them cut(just cut) or duplicate one apart from Honda dealers?

My key also has immobiliser chip in it. And still, mister minit can do the job.
Try taking your key to them and see if they can help.

jazz has immobliser, so u key has immob chip in it = lots of $$
immob chip must be programmed by honda = more $$
jazz key is integrated, u have remote and key together in one unit = LOTS of $$
u need to get the actual key laser cut(im pretty sure) = even more $$

no less than $300 i reckon

wait.. for the new jazz the keys and the alarm is put into 1.. but for the older models.. the key and alarm is seperate.. so where would the immobuliser be?

on the ignition key

$50 to $60 for key

$40 - $50 for programming immob

$10 - $30 for cutting, depending on method
