im not sure wether its 2.5" or 2.25", dont really measure it. with gains.. not really.. feels like i have a stock exhaust on because its soo quiet. even when i floor it, u can barely hear it, most of the time all you hear is the intake screaming. and the red rocker cover, you can get those from JDMyard.

I'd do all your mods before you think about ecu, saves you money in the end. Also I wouldn't bother with cams until you've properly done the exhaust and intake, but it's totally up to you, just giving an opinion :)

For those of you that have put new head units in, can you replace the factory one or do you put it below?

yeah truue you have a point, i was looking at a RBC intake throttle body but i like my exhaust! :D well i got the ECU already. It's a Greddy e-manage Ultimate. got it for cheap off a mate hehe!

what you think about the RBC TB?

RBC is an intake manifold, not a throttle body. It's a good mod if you've done headers/intake/exhaust properly as well. If everything else is stock, or relatively stock I'd steer clear of it. I put mine on when everything else was virtually stock and all it did was suck the low and and give very little top end. Good mod though, but the more I drive the Euro with it the more I realise it hasn't been set up for high-rpm power.

Sell me your e-manage?

HAHA! whoops i meant intake manifold, yeah ive relise that too. It dsnt rev out much. i was looking at the K20A head conversion. i hear that cant keep the revs in VTEC too much. I duno if its true or false.

I just got the ECU for a good price off a mate hehehe! sorry bro not for sale.

HAHA! yeah i want to turbo it, just waiting on a mate upgrade his turbo and sell me his one, wich is the T04b.

HAHA! yeah i want to turbo it, just waiting on a mate upgrade his turbo and sell me his one, wich is the T04b.

The Euro's stock intake manifold, the RBB has long thin runners designed for low end torque as they get rid of turbulence in the runners, but the RBC has short fat runners to cram as much air in the cylinder as possible, but also creates turbulence at lower RPM. This explains the power shifting up after RBC install. So yeah the RBC is much more suited to high RPM and VTEC. The K20 head should increase power everywhere as it just generally flows better. The actual head (without cams etc.) isn't really suited for any RPM more than another (correct me if I'm wrong).

There's a lot more involved in turboing than just having the actual turbo mate, do your research carefully :p

OH traders!

how much you spending?
if money is no object then TODA AU trader!
if money is an object then you could go cheapy Xforce headers from 'RACE NATION" but will need flex pipe replaced.

and goodluck on the waiting period.

takes a bloody long time to get bodykits in mate.... :p

sometimes half a year depending on sourcing and shipping.

and for the other, there is no full compatible standalone ECU to keep all features of the euro.

giant_mongrel
23-02-2009, 09:55 AM
i ordered, paid, shipped, landed, and cleared headers from the US in around 35 days.
bodykits, however, are a different story...

Crapdaz
23-02-2009, 10:02 AM
one bodykit box can fit almost 10-15 asian blokes.

what headers did you get mongrel?

comptech...
man i had the biggest scare when i picked it up
i drove all the f'ing way there, spent an hour clearing it thru customs/tariffs/tax bs, then drove to the warehouse to pick it up. the guy uses the forklift, brings it, dumps it next to my car. then me and him just stare at the box, stare at the car, stare at the box, stare at the car. wasn't gonna fit.

20 minutes later, two seats down, headrests lying on the asphalt and three near misses on my roof, and we crammed it in. same day drove it all the way back thru city to other side of town to fit. lesson: borrow your mate's ute.

if i do get kit, not looking forward to logistics...

bodykit box was around
length 2+ metres;
width 1metre ;
height 1+ metre.

mine got all delivered to my door...bodykit, headers and everything else besides small stuff where you occassionally have to pick up.

thought i'd try and save money and do it all myself... turned out ok, was just a biatch for a couple of days calling custom brokers and stuff

next time its coming straight to the door. esp if its kit.

how much in total just to get it in your hand?

coilovers going through customs and paying tax on it set me almost $400 on tax.

giant_mongrel
23-02-2009, 10:40 AM
the guy i bought it off sent a second invoice claiming parts as less than $1000, saving on the extra tax/tariffs as these are set at the limit of $1000 by AU customs. clearance by broker was $100, freight handling/tariffs was $200. so yeah around $300 all up just for clearance, not including shipping. man just thinking about it im not doing that again for a while

rofl thats jipped.

damn im glad i got stuff before this crisis!
no tax on anything i bought for headers or pulleys and total was under 1k mark too only thing was my coilovers with edfc/motorkit and that set me back $400. The coilies were written @ 1100 or so too.

btw did you end up installing the gasket?
