I have now got a set of JDM DC5R 4pot Brembo with 300mm rotor and planning to fit into my EK which running on 16" rim.
Ignore the 5 stud problem, if i just get a 282mm rotor, how think should the rotor be? according to the DC5 stock size?

And what other issues may come up with?
Thanks

correct size and offset of wheels

I am running 16x7 with +42/+45(cant remember)
Will this fit in the Brembo with 282mm rotor?

I believe you will need a 300 rotor.

I believe you will need a 300 rotor.

Do you mean that 282 rotor is too small for those stock Brembo?

Yep. Brembo won't fit with 16" wheels either. You'll need larger offset wheels too. The JDM DC5R runs a +60 offset.

It will fit in a 16inch wheel. The offset should be fine as he said he is running 42 and stock JDM is 60.

Yes the rotor will be to small.

just curious as to why you think you need 4 pot brembo for your car (ek4?).
thats way overkill the brake biasing in your car will throw your balance off in a hard brake. esp if your running close to stock gear
have you worked out what kind of bracket youll need for the caliper to fit? customizing etc... i dont think this has been done before so youll defnitely be running into big problems that youll soon find out.

why not try something that has been well documented and better suited for your car/power.
even if you making good power stock gear should hold up fine, just get better grip tyres and brake pads/disc combo.

I know 4pot caliper is a bit overkilling my EK4, reason why i am thinking of Brembo was because of "bling". I was actually thinking of Spoon too but i was told that Spoon is not worth to get it, no offense :p

Putting JDM DC5 Brembo has been done in overseas and can be straight fit into EK. I am just not too sure about the rim and rotor size thro.

4 pot isnt always overkill. Provided you upgrade your Master cylinder, Brake booster and proportion valve there shouldnt be a problem. Alot of the track civic run 4 pots on the front and OEM rears so i guess the bias isnt really that bad.

+45 offset wont clear brembo caliper mate.

offset less than +43 will be great.

I think you need custom bracket to fit JDM DC5 brembo to your EK set up.

Spoon do perform well... just isnt cheap, like anything else with a spoon badge.

yeah, thats what i was told.
for the $ that i get a set of Spoon, i may just pay less for the JDM DC5 Brembo

Well not really, remember you still have to buy bigger rotors and maybe a mounting plate. So it will be around the same.
