Just wondering which of these two tyres you would rate as a better performance tyre?

Toyo Proxes 4 or T1R

Although...
- Ratings are subjective and...
- T1Rs are more expensive...

i'm running on Proxes 4, but haven't had the T1Rs before as the place was outta stock. But for the street, P4s are really good, hug the road really well and are quite good in the wet too. Bang for buck for 130 bucks a piece.

As said, T1R's are the top of the range street tyres from Toyo.

Had them on my car and for a street tyre, they are great. Excellent tyre.

otu of the two id rate teh bridgestone RE001. Similar price for same size , from experience its a better tyre overall .

im being sarcastic :) What i wrote is exactly what i mean. But to keep this on topic , I vote for TR1. Proxes 4 aint flash hot , soft and will die quick if you car is lowered. They just feel "soft" and foamy compared to my current firm RE001's

really? do the P4s die quicker when lowered as opposed to the T1Rs? Why so?

Its all depending on how much negative camber you got there,
both Proxes4 and T1r have similar tread ratings.

Abit off topic here : RE001 doesnt last as long as T1R

i have proxes 4. hasnt died down yet, its been on for a few months already. car is lowered but with zero camber, looks like prob at 90% tread.

T1R's aren't too bad, decent price. But I'd go for a R1-R from Japan if you want the ultimate street tyre.
