I've haven't come around one.. wondering if anyone could show me on available in Sydney.. (i'm not looking for SRI)

Is this correct: To get the best out of the CAI, should get a full exhaust system with that?

So full buddy club exhaust is about 1.3k or something if i'm correct? can this be installed in a eg gli ? and a CAI would be around $300<

And what are extractors? Don't really have a grasp on this, i was driving on night, and my mechanic mate, and the subaru next to us was revving it, and i was like "no worries, my v6 chop it" (as a joke), and his like, yea maybe, but that cars got extractors, you can hear it? and iwas like/.... "yehhhh....(>???<)"

for the little tiny power you get out of those mods .. it's a waste of money in my opinion. Unless you buy it just for the sound of it. I've had so many cars including a WRX and S15 and about 4 hondas ... I find that putting bolts on a NA just doesn't to much at all and possibly just loose all that little torque there is already. The raise in power on a turbo with those things is a totally different story :)

orly, so whats the best option for just improving the sound for an eg? since that ways or expensive? just get an exhaust system, and chuck a silencer on it, to quiten it down? i'm not a big fan of loudness, unless its high revving (can hardly find xforce or mugen twinloops)

for performance, what do people suggest specifically for a GLi, or should i just search

hear extractors? he must have a really good ear.. you can kinda tell i guess if ur really listening for it and u know what exhaust his running etc. as full exhaust IMO gives bit more of a stronger tone? might jsut be me though?

full exhaust for buddyclub? dam get it if its 1.3k! arent catbacks usually 800+?

michael honestly dont put money into this engine save up for your b swap!! just get like sri or something but yeah save for your b swap, take care of all your sussy and brake mods and exterior cos u can still keep those when u swap it.

modifying your current engine kinda pointless if u plan on keeping it.. when u sell it ur gonna lose ALOT of money. and if u part out ur gonna have parts that wont fit on the b and not many people would be after but your choice.

my 2cents.

get a Fujitsubo RM01A ..really nice sound and not loud .. you'll get sick of something really loud very quickly.
I'd be way better spending money on handling in my opinion ...especially on a Gli.

my point exactly spend the money on something thats still gonna be there when u get the heart swapped! and yes fujitsubo has an awesome tone but is forking over 1k for a catback exhaust really worth it considering you could get a full exahust with more gains from xforce for around that price? personaly.. i'd still get fujitsubo cos im a wanna be baller! LOL

oooh thanks joe n ray. hmms, doesn't sri just suck up heat from the engine if its not box, hence like sorta loosing power or am i wrong lols. but yeh. i dont know, i dont wanna pop open my hood for a year see'ing such a plain engine :P i know, ill just put some silver pipes and change some color leads to make it look cool ay LOL. jks. guess so then, stock as arock for a year : [

only from my experience with hondas ... putting on a pod makes the car sound cool but it just looses low end badly. Hondas already don't have great torque .. and reducing that is not so good. It will rev up more quickly but no power down low where you really need it. It's worth a try if it's cheap...some people semm to like the feel of them. I've tested a few and always couldn't stand it and change it back to the box and put a K&N panel in it. I reckon honda's designed it the way it is for a reason.

hondas shit bottom end anyways, just concentrate on what its good at. top end! then focus on midrange power to get there? look dude when u get your car i'll come by give u a hand i'll help you mid your box and feed aircon piping from your front bar same thing as cai pretty much but with the stockish look (Y)

if you just want the CAI sound just remove the resonator box from your current stock set up.

search on here there are a few write ups in the diy section.
